In our beauty society, there is no set regulation for what would constitute a mineral makeup. thus any product that contants minerals as its primary ingredient may be marketed as mineral makeup even if it contains other 'unnatural' ingredients such as bismuth oxycholoride, it is man made and gives your finished look a polished effect.

You would realise that when molecules experiences certain changes, they can evolve and become something very different and become a toxic property. Minerals like zinc and titanium are safe when applied to your healthy skin but when it has been micronized into nanoparticle, it becomes a health hazard.
