Great make up tip

When to throw out make up

Makeup Beauty Tips: When to throw out make up?

You should dispose of your sponges when they are tattered or else wash them weekly and discard them monthly for hygiene purposes. Your brushes must be washed every 2 weeks to ensure that you are not introducing dirt from your brush to your precious face. Eye shadow and powder that are more than 2 years old should be disposed.

Please note that the life span of your mascara is about 4 months because it would harden and dry up anyway if you held onto it beyond that. Products such as your cleanser, moisturizer, foundations and lipstick should be disposed off after 1 year. Do you have a make up compartment or a make up box in your bedroom? It is a good idea to organise your make up items into different piles so that you can see what you have clearly. The lipsticks will go in the lipstick compartment etc.

Brushes that has fraying hair or has become relatively bald can only be thrown away. For sponge and puffs that are very dirty, you may either wash them clean or simply trash them too. You can throw away any make up that you have kept for more than 2 years. Turn your product over timely because there is usually an expiration date and/or you can smell your products going bad. Go through your products and set aside those that are relatively ruin beyond use or melted and throw them away.

Examine your bottles of liquid make up and garbage those that have harden or the chemical has separated. Set aside those make up that you did not touch in the last 6 months. Kindly give them away to somebody that needs it more than you because chances are you wont be using it.
